There’s something gloriously unhinged about a Lexus GS-F sitting this low. It doesn’t just hug the Sydney pavement — it practically kisses it. Meet FLEXUS, Dan’s weapon of choice: a 467-horsepower, naturally aspirated, 2UR-GSE powered luxury missile turned street sculpture. The GS-F was already the gentleman bruiser of the Lexus lineup, being the last F, but Dan saw potential beyond factory limits — and the result is equal parts elegance, attitude, and mechanical artistry…noting he absolutely nailed it with his previous build of a Lexus IS-F as well.

While Dan does daily drive his moving art piece, it is not without care and maintenance which he only trusts to Lexus of Chatswood. Everyone who strives for this level of perfection only want the best hands on deck and knowing Dan, if Lexus of Chatswood is his go to, then it must be on par with his appreciation for the best of the best.
No one makes an AirLift kit for this car, which would’ve stopped most people. Dan isn’t most people. Armed with determination, too much money and some amazing help from House of Stance, together they concocted a Frankenstein mix of components resulting in engineering a fully custom air suspension setup that delivers a stance so perfect it borders on witchcraft. It’s the sort of car that looks parked even when it’s moving — all presence, no pretence— and it does so without sacrificing that distinct Lexus refinement which Dan was going for, think of OEM++.

The details seal the deal though. A set of 20-inch staggered SSR CV04s tuck neatly under the guards, the polished spokes catching the light like jewellery against a tailored suit. Behind them, custom-coloured calipers peek through, a subtle flex that only adds to the meticulous nature of the owner. Around back, a custom exhaust from Grim Performance turns the GS-F’s refined burble into a thunderous, operatic growl that echoes off Sydney’s tunnels with spine-tingling precision. Add the LEMs Japan intake pipe and iCode strut brace, and the performance tweaks match the stance’s boldness. LEMs and iCode both being top shelf parts only befitting something so unique.

Inside, the story continues with LED pinstripe lighting tracing the cabin like something out of a Tokyo night scene. Tinted lights and sleek reflections give the car a mysterious glow — luxurious but unapologetically wild. FLEXUS isn’t just about being seen; it’s about being remembered. It’s a car that demands a double-take, not because it’s loud, but because it’s executed right.
What makes this build special isn’t the list of parts — it’s the spirit behind them. Dan didn’t throw a credit card at a catalogue (although we all know he did), he problem-solved, fine-tuned, and pushed a platform most people overlook into something extraordinary. This isn’t rebellion for rebellion’s sake — it’s craftsmanship. It’s a love letter to individuality and the kind that cuts through Sydney’s already impressive car tuner scene.

As I shot this car I thought about how long I have known Dan and watched what he has created. Watching amazing people come together from House of Stance, Grim Performance and the most note worth, Lexus of Chatswood, Dan hasn’t just built a Lexus GS-F; he’s created something rarer: personality on four wheels. Because anyone can modify a car, but it takes real soul to build one that makes you stop, stare, and smile.
