Vika’s 2019 Audi S3 – Style, Sound, and Speed
For Vika May, the 2019 Audi S3 is more than a daily driver — it’s a statement of precision, performance, and personality. Having owned an S3 hatch previously, Vika always knew she’d come back to Audi. “I’ve always loved Audis,” she says. “After my last S3, I fell in love with the sedan shape — and I wanted a sunroof, so here we are!”
Power and Performance
Under the bonnet, this S3 is far from stock. Thanks to a custom @hsptuning Stage 1 ECU tune and Stage 2 DSG tune, the car now pushes 385 horsepower and 500–520 Nm of torque. Supporting upgrades include a @blazeperformance 4-inch air intake and @ctsturbo intercooler, giving the turbocharged four-cylinder plenty of breathing room.
Suspension and Stance
For Vika, the right stance is everything. The S3 sits low and clean on an @air_lift_performance 3P Air Management System, professionally installed by @getlowcustoms. “I missed having air suspension after my last build,” she admits. “There’s just something about being able to drop it low at a show and raise it back up for the drive home.”
Inside and Out
Inside, the factory nappa leather with diamond-stitched seats keeps things classy, while the outside remains sleek in its factory Daytona Gray paint. Adding an aggressive edge, Vika fitted a full @maxtondesign aero kit — front splitter, side skirts, rear diffuser, rear side splitters, and boot lip spoiler — giving the sedan a sharper, more purposeful look.
Wheels and Sound
Rolling on @gtformwheels Marquee gloss black wheels (19×8.5 +35) wrapped in @continental.tyres, the car commands attention from every angle. But Vika’s real pride lies in the sound system — a custom boot install by @camzautosounds featuring @zeroflexnz gear, including two TKO-12 1000RMS DVC 4” subwoofers and an NZ1500D amp. “I love my music,” she says, “so the sound system was always going to be a big part of the build.”
The Journey
Getting the car to its current state took just a year — though Vika admits the list of tweaks could go on forever. “The aero went on ASAP, followed by the ECU/TCU tune, intake, and intercooler. Then came the air suspension, painted teal calipers, tinting, PPF, and wheels. It’s been constant evolution.”
Her philosophy on modifying? Keep it simple: “Stick with people you know and trust — each person that worked on my car did such a great job that I’m not back bugging them with issues. Win-win!”
Inspiration and Future Plans
Vika draws inspiration from the late Jessi Combs, the professional racer and fabricator who tragically passed while setting a land-speed record in 2019. “She embodied courage and drive,” says Vika. “Her story reminds me to keep pushing forward.”
As for what’s next, Vika hints at more to come: “Many plans… where do I start? I’d love to get into another car sometime, but I have no idea what yet!”
For now, the Audi S3 remains the perfect balance of daily usability, show presence, and track-ready fun — a true reflection of Vika’s personality behind the wheel.
