This pure example of an E28 has been an in-between project car for Heino, it’s gone through some radical changes since it was pick up. It’s now featuring some genuine BBS wheels with a very clean bag set up in the boot including hard wired lines. It’s also recently seen some engine work as well, it’s now featuring a 2L block with a reconditioned 2.3L head, RX7 radiator and custom exhaust system with a trusty 5 speed. It sounds just as good as it looks, the classic BMW straight 6 really does have a unique unmatched tone.

Stance is a clear understatement for the old girl as she is tucking arse and kissing the ground, its clean and looks the part with classic European design classy, elegant with strong edges matched with the classic stancenation styling pulling off an amazing look that really catches your eye.

Congrats to Heino for pulling off another amazing car, we really loved this one.

The fresh red paint was shining in delight off the freshly installed Rocket Bunny wide body kit and and extremely tidy set of Works.

Exterior: Facelift body conversion. Custom candy paint job.  IS sideskirts & front lip with custom diffuser. MTech 1 rear wing. MHW rear taillights. Smiley headlights. Custom roundels/badges. Custom door handles.

Wheels & Tyres: Fifteen52 forged 2 piece F40. 16×8 & 16×9.5 wrapped in Falken tyres.

Interior: Stock (for now, currently being completely redone). Grip Royal steering wheel.

Suspension: Airlift performance air ride with Accuair e-level management.

I’ve always been a fan of old European cars, BMW’s in particular. I was inspired by a few of the E30s built overseas which made me want to get one for myself and try and get it to that level. I bought the car in pretty rough condition in November 2012.

My favourite thing about the car would have to be the custom paint work done by GT Refinishers. I spent countless months looking at nearly every possibility for the colour, trying to find something that’s a mixture of classic and unique.

What’s next on the list?

The car’s currently in Hamilton getting a custom boot set-up done by Get Low Customs. It’s then off to Midnight Upholstery to completely redo the interior (front and rear seats, dash, carpet, headliner etc). I also have a set of custom Rotiforms due to arrive in NZ in the next week or two.

Supercars always have the final touches done perfectly, from full carbon just about everything to the perfect detailing in the badge, perfection. This is by far the fastest car i have ever been in to date! It sounds like jet fighter taking off, only running 850 AW/HP on its lowest possible power mod out of the heavily tuned v10.
